Infinite Harvest Launches New Watercress Microgreen
LAKEWOOD, Colo. (July 8, 2020) — Infinite Harvest, the Colorado-based producer of hydroponic green produce, is pleased to announce the release of its newest microgreen: Watercress.
Infinite Harvest’s Watercress Microgreens are chock-full of nutrients and pack a bold and peppery flavor, with a unique sweet finish. It is often used on salads, sandwiches, stir fry dishes, soups, hamburgers, and other dishes.
Watercress Scores 100% in Nutrient Density in Peer Reviewed Scientific Study
According to the U.S. Centers for Disease and Control and Prevention (CDC), a peer-reviewed study in 2014 by Dr. Jennifer Di Noia of William Paterson University found that watercress is the most nutrient-dense of the 47 vegetables and fruits studied. The study, a summary of which can be seen here, found that watercress was the only fruit or vegetable studied that earned a 100% Nutrient Density Score, is a source of 17 nutrients, including potassium, fiber, protein, calcium, iron, thiamin, riboflavin, niacin, folate, zinc, and vitamins A, B6, B12, C, D, E, K.
