Improving the way local produce is grown worldwide for a sustainable future through innovation and advanced technology.
This is about challenges - Our Challenges.
There's a growing need for more sustainable and environmentally sound methods of producing food for the world's population. Proof in point: farmable land is on the decline due to residential and commerical property development, adverse farming practices, environmental and climate changes. As the world population grows, it will become imperative to find more efficient ways of producing fresh food, with the declining available farmland and environmental changes that impact farming that land.
And that's where we come in.
Infinite Harvest is pulling together some of the most influential business leaders to send us in a new direction. Did You Know?
There are many local, regional and global issues growing, that by themselves may seem low risk, but when looked at as a whole, they pose a troubling situation. Here are a few key points:
- The World Population will be an estimated 9.5 Billion by 2050
- Climate Shifts are effecting Farm Production
- Available Irrigation water is on the decline
- The world will have an estimated 21 Mega Cities in the next 30 years (city population of >10 million)
With each of these issues, it compounds the worlds ability to feed the population. Food costs are estimated to rise by 3 to 4 times over the next twenty to thirty years. Making it more difficult for lower income individuals obtaining access to fresh, healthly vegetables.
